How do I making changes to posts after my website is launched?

Following up on my earlier question about launching my website. I understand that I will need to be making changes to posts on my website to get everything just right, so how do I do this once the posts are published?

With most website content management systems (CMS) there will either be a draft or published status for a post.

When a post is first created it will be a draft. At this time only approved people that have access to the CMS can see the content of the post.

Then, when the post is ready to be made public the post will require a change to make it published.

Once the post is public then any changes are applied by making updates to the post.

In the Ghost publishing CMS whilst a post is in draft it will be autosaved with changes. Then once post is made published then a manual update will be required to the post to make the changes public.

This is a really good question because content should always deliver value, and over time, the ways it adds value may evolve and improve.
